  Poor stock management, poor policy, abysmal customer service, untrained and therefore incompetent staff, and a totally unsatisfactory experience. Visited this store on a Wednesday with the intention of buying shoes to take overseas on the Saturday. The shoes in question were not in stock, but the sales assistant ordered them from another local store and assured me that they would arrive in 1-2 business days. Furthermore, she insisted that I pay $130 for the shoes (which I had not yet seen) before she placed the order. No one called me, so on Saturday at lunch time I rang the store, and after 2 conversations with 3 staff, they were all full of excuses and completely unhelpful. They would not refund the $130 without me driving 45 minutes to the store. Considering that Platypus have an online store that promises returns if processed within 100 days, I found the whole experience completely unacceptable. Be aware when shopping here.

  Walked in, had someone serve us straight away, tried shoes on then, paid then left. Great staff and had been trying to get these shoes everywhere and this was the only store we could find that have them. Thanks for the help!!

  Every time I go to a Platypus store I walk out with my five boys disappointed. There is absolutely NO customer service in the Frankston or Fountain Gate stores. Peninsula Surf and Trigger Brothers in Frankston went above and beyond to kit my boys out in shoes today - over $350 of sales Platypus missed out on for just three of my boys.
